| I made
the transition from high school pretty smoothly. The real difference
for me is that in college no one reminds you of your responsibilities;
you need to remember things and stay on top of your coursework
on your own. I have a lot of free time that I need to organize
so that I can get everything finished that I need to.
I'm really looking forward to my future here at St. Lawrence.
I would like start developing my own film up here, maybe even
eventually have a showing of the pictures I've taken.
I tried out for a part in a play last semester, but unfortunately,
I didn't make it. I'm definitely planning on trying out again
though; I enjoy acting and want to get on stage a few times before
I graduate.
I went whitewater rafting for my pre-orientation trip, and it
helped me to meet other first-year students with similar interests
in the outdoors. The communal aspect of college life really agrees
with me I think, it's been great so far, I've found many opportunities
to enjoy myself, and between trying out for plays, photography,
and applying to become an outdoor guide, I have a lot to look
forward to. |
