Peter Snedeker got off to an early start in campus government. “I
applied for a chair position shortly after arriving on campus
as a first-year student and have been involved ever since,” he
says. “In my current role as president of the student government
body, I have a remarkable opportunity to interact with faculty,
administrators and other staff on behalf of the student body
while strengthening my own leadership skills.”
Snedeker is proud of the Thelmo executive board’s response
to recent issues on campus. “I am very fortunate to work
alongside an energetic and enthusiastic executive board,” he
says. “[We] have worked diligently to improve the relationship
between senators and their constituents as well as addressing issues
of free speech, civil dialog and sexual violence in recent months.” “Working
as a member of Thelmo is a dynamic and challenging experience because
of the many issues that have a tendency to arise sporadically.
My time in Thelmo has been a powerful force in shaping my experience
at St. Lawrence.”
