Quote:

I chose St. Lawrence for its strong academic reputation and community atmosphere. Working with the dedicated staff, I have been able to build up campus interest and start two new organizations on campus: a theatre troupe called the Candle In The Wilderness Players, and a sign language club.

St. Lawrence has definitely made me a better person. I have honed my leadership skills and refined the critical thinking, expression and communication techniques I already possessed. I have challenged myself academically as well as extra-curricularly. I have also cultivated strong friendships with people from all walks of life.
St. Lawrence's small classes and dedicated professors set it apart from many other universities. It amazes me to find teachers that are so dedicated to their subject that they will open their homes and offer up their weekends to students for further exploration of an interest.

When I picture a college I see St. Lawrence; a place where you know your classmates and professors by name and where class participation is encouraged. St. Lawrence is exactly what I had in mind when I was looking for a university--it encapsulates everything I envision in a great college education.
