I spent my freshman year as a staff writer on The Hill News,
the student newspaper, so I learned the art of interviewing and
writing news articles. I also got the chance to meet administrators
and professors who I wouldn’t otherwise know. The Hill News
has expanded my horizons and it’s a great way to meet people.
Now that I am the news editor I have learned the business side
of the paper also, and it has definitely increased my interest
in journalism; in fact, I’m considering going to graduate
school in journalism now. Working on The Hill News has taught
me how to receive criticism and enjoy praise and make a better
newspaper.
I’ve sung my whole life, so the Sinners just seemed my
next natural step when I got here. I really love their “pop”
style. I love how the concerts are packed and the campus supports
us - I’m doing something people like to see and hear.
I’m so excited to go on the London Semester. Being a speech
and theatre major, it’s the perfect place to study my interests.
I’ll be studying in the Globe Theatre and going to plays.
Plus, I’ll have an internship in London. It’s going
to be a great experience and the more experience the better!
