Having gone to high school in “fast-paced” New York
City, Randy Olivo says he was looking for a change for college. “There
was something special about the people and the environment that
made me want to come here,” he
says, adding, “the financial aid office was very generous.”
“Becoming active in numerous activities on campus gave
me a better understanding of everything around me,” Olivo
says. “Before, I was just another student. Once I saw how
easy it was to become involved, it was like a bug bit me, and
I just kept joining more groups.” From the executive board
of the student government to the Investment Club, to balancing
two majors, he is one very busy student.
Says Olivo, “Being so involved has given me the chance
to learn the structure of institutions, meet lots of wonderful
people, change our campus in positive ways, and take advantage
of all that St. Lawrence has to offer.”
After graduation, Olivo plans to pursue an MBA, and hopes to go
into investment banking, sales and trading, or financial management.
