What
attracted me to SLU was the intimate setting of the campus. Not
only am I able to speak out freely in my small classes, but I also
have the opportunity to meet a wide variety of people.
The First-Year Program was a great way to ease into college living
because students are given the chance to build their first college
relationships through the connection of courses and living arrangements.
Some of the first people I met in my FYP are my closest friends,
and I know we will stay that way because we made a connection by
going through that "uncomfortable" stage together.
Through the opportunities offered in the liberal arts education
at SLU, I am able to major in two completely different areas, as
well as fulfill the pre-veterinarian requirements for graduate school.
St. Lawrence gives me the chance to pursue my goals with confidence,
as well as take a role in leadership opportunities. I have been
involved in certain activities that I would never have otherwise
felt comfortable trying, and I find myself constantly moving around
my schedule to fit something new in. |
