| What
I love the most at St. Lawrence is the close student/professor relationship.
Professors are always available and offer their help as much as
they can.
Coming from New York City, I also enjoy living so close to nature.
I particularly like to go canoeing and hiking in the Adirondack
Mountains.
St. Lawrence's First-Year Program (FYP) did an excellent job helping
me to settle into college life. The FYP's academic program improved
my speech and writing skills. Likewise, the debates with other students
helped me to approach people with more confidence.
St. Lawrence's liberal arts program encourages me to think and
communicate in many different ways. The professors have encouraged
me to maintain an open mind and to look beyond the actual textbooks.
I am planning to pursue pre-medicine at this moment, but if I want
to change my mind, St. Lawrence's liberal arts program allows me
to choose a different path. As a sports trainer, by assisting injured
athletes during their games I can explore whether I really want
to be a doctor.
