Assistant Professor of History
Liz Regosin hails from Southern California. She joined the St.
Lawrence faculty in 1997. She teaches in the First-Year program,
and is a specialist in American history, especially African American
history and American women’s history. Her area of research
has been on African American families in the transition from slavery
to freedom; other interests include American race relations in general.
“Professor Regosin’s enthusiasm and dedication to her
students made her classes memorable, interesting and fun,”
says Joe Gawron, a senior history major from Lancaster, N.Y.
“With its strong teaching mission, St. Lawrence feels like
the perfect place for me,” says Regosin. “I enjoy the
opportunity to interact with my students both in class and in a
variety of ways outside the classroom.”
