St. Lawrence’s beautiful campus inspires me to learn and
to be actively involved in student life. There are so many interesting
and different kinds of activities and clubs for St. Lawrence’s
students to participate in, it can be hard to choose!
To be the
vice president of the South Asia Club is a good creative outlet
for me. It gives me the change to inject my own ideas
into the club and improve my organizational skills. Being part
of the group exposes me to the culture of South Asia through
interacting with students from India, Nepal and Pakistan. We
organize activities on campus to spread awareness of the South
Asian culture.
At St. Lawrence, I have met people from all over
the world. I love to hang out in the International House, where
people from
different cultural backgrounds live together. I also appreciate
St. Lawrence’s study aboard programs.
One of my favorite
professors is Laura Rediehs from philosophy, because in her classes
she gives us a chance to speak up and
explore our minds. St. Lawrence’s faculty and staff throughout
campus are always very helpful. The staff in the library are
particularly helpful, which enhances my enjoyment in learning
new things.
