Quote: I love living in the International House. When
you live in a theme residence you share not just space but also
interests with others. It's amazing how you can find your personal
niche and still know most of the people on campus by name! I felt
a great sense of community at St. Lawrence already, thanks to
my First-Year Program. My grades have been going up since I moved
to "I-House," because people there like to study together.
It's inspiring to see people here get really passionate about
what they do. I've always liked history, but taking a course in
Native American studies with Professor Parmenter inspired me to
pursue this field of study. It's a fascinating area, but not that
many schools give it serious attention.
I was so impressed with the professors at St. Lawrence that I
decided to try teaching myself. I now tutor grade school students
in social sciences and I really enjoy it. I might even pursue
teaching after graduation.
