| St. Lawrence's
liberal arts education opens up many opportunities for me and
with the guidance of an adviser I can explore a great variety
of topics. I study economics as my major but I also have the freedom
to study religions as my minor.
When I graduate, I want to enter the business world. My professors
are excellent and I have already learned a lot from them. Economics
is definitely more than just common sense.
St. Lawrence offers many opportunities for students. For me there
is more than enough available on campus. Together with nine other
students I live in Java House, which provides the campus with
non-alcoholic entertainment, bands and poetry readings, and "open
mic" nights. Being part of Java House teaches me how to share
responsibilities. At the President's office I am learning a lot
about St. Lawrence's public relations and business life. Through
working there, I gain a lot of practical experiences on how to
run a business.
My sorority, Kappa Delta Sigma, is a great support system for
me. As a sisterhood, we constantly try to improve St. Lawrence's
campus life and also participate in volunteer community service
programs. I'm also a teaching assistant in Japanese because I
love to teach and to help other students learn a new language
is a great feeling. |
