Advertising accountant with Grey Worldwide
Student Activities: Dawn-Marie double majored
in English and French, and in her sophomore year she studied in
Rouen, France. On campus, she played on the volleyball team, was
a member of Pi Phi sorority, worked as a college assistant in her
senior year and interned at University Communications.
“I spent a year in Rouen, France, on St. Lawrence's international
program. I really had to work hard to overcome barriers both academic
and social. In the end, I made it through and I am a stronger and
more confident person for doing so. I believe my liberal arts education
gave me a good foundation of knowledge and general skills that can
be applied to any job field. As advertising account manager, I rely
on communication skills to voice the interests of my clients to the
other departments in the corporation. I got my first job with the
help of a fellow Laurentian who had heard of my interest in advertising
and then read my resume. I was young for the position, but I was
confident, and just as in France, I knew I could rely on myself
to succeed and perform well.”
