Emergency General Information
In the event of further emergencies on the scale
of the September 11, 2001 attack on the United States, St. Lawrence
University will take the following action:
1. Communication - to students, faculty,
staff, parents regarding:
STATUS of the emergency
Continuation of classes and other events;
scheduling of Support Programs;
Emergency Instructions
will be communicated via:

All-campus emails to students, faculty and staff
All-campus voice mails
Posters in residence halls and buildings
2. Safety
In the event of partial or complete power loss, the
University has several generators to provide power in specific
locations will remain operational.
Instructions will be given to all students, faculty
and staff through the University’s communication system described
above regarding gathering points and building restrictions.
If evacuation becomes necessary, check here for a summary of the University’s
plan.
3. Students, faculty and staff abroad
The Center for International and Intercultural Studies
(CIIS) will coordinate all communication with site directors abroad.
Site by site assessments will be made regarding program responses.
Information will be disseminated via the EMERGENCY homepage as described above.
Should evacuation be necessary, plans are in place to implement those plans
in an expeditious and safe manner
