Polido was a three-sport athlete, competing in soccer, basketball, and tennis. She was captain of her soccer team and was the 2007 MVP. She earned the Unsung Hero award in 2006, and was a 2007 All-League All Star. She earned the 2006 Excellence in English award, and was an honor student.
