SAINTS LOSE IN OT

Oct. 11- The St. Lawrence Saints, 7-4-1, 2-2-1, lost in over time to the Herons of William Smith, 8-2-1, 5-0-0, on Saturday afternoon.

Kristin Perrigo scored the lone goal of the game to win it for the Herons in the 98:00 minute of play. The goal was unassisted as it was deflected off a Saint defender before slipping past the hands of Saints goalkeeper Carly Draper.

The Saints had eight shots on net while the Herons had 14. Draper recorded four saves in the game while Nikki Dudley made six for the Herons.

LOPEZ SCORES ONE IN TIE GAME

Oct. 10- Nicole Lopez scored the lone goal for St. Lawrence as the Saints went on to tie Hamilton College 1-1. The Saints are now 7-3-1 overall and 2-1-1 in UCAA play.

Both of St. Lawrence and Hamilton’s goals came from the first period as Lopez opened the scoring five minutes into the game to record her 7th goal of the season from Devon Cain. Lopez now leads the Saints in scoring. Twenty minutes later Elizabeth Roberts tied the game for Hamilton off a pass from Eileen Fisher.

St. Lawrence and Hamilton each tallied 15 shots in the game while Carly Draper made seven saves and Hamilton’s goalkeeper Jen Munos ended with eight.
