SAINTS STOP ELMIRA
WIN STREAK
Sept. 13: First year goaltender Carly Draper made five saves to
record her fourth shutout in five collegiate starts as St. Lawrence
University's women's soccer team won its fifth straight game, 2-0
at Elmira on Saturday.
The Saints, 5-0-0, entered the game ranked fifth in the region
and should climb after beating second-ranked Rochester and eighth-ranked
Elmira in games this week. SLU will host Nazareth on Saturday in
its next outing.
Tori Kohn tapped in a cross in front of the net from Samantha
Bealer 27:31 into the game for the only goal that the Saints were
to need
as Sarah Skinner scored her fourth of the season unassisted at
the 59:48.
The Saints had a 18-11 edge in shots on goal and Christine Zalusky
had nine saves for Elmira, 3-1-1 on the season.

Saints a Win
Sept. 9- The
St. Lawrence Saints Women's soccer team only had eight shots on
net
in their game against
the Rochester
Yellowjackets (3-2-0) Tuesday afternoon.
But one is all it took for the win. The Saints, 4-0-0,
scored their one and only goal just minutes into the first half
when Nicole Lopez scored on a rebound of her own initial shot for
the only goal of the game.
Lopez took the first shot from 10 yards out and it
bounced off Rochester goalie Sarah Malecki.. Lopez put the rebound
into the upper right corner of the net at 2:55 for her fourth goal
of the game with the game 2:55 old. Kate Adams picked up an assist
on the winning goal.
Freshman goalkeeper Carly Draper had nine saves for
the Saints, earning her third shutout in four starts.
The Saints will travel to Elmira on Saturday for
a 3:00 pm game.
