SAINTS TIE IN LAST REGULAR SEASON GAME

Nov. 1 The St. Lawrence University women’s soccer team capped the regular season in exciting fashion battling Oswego State to a 4-4 tie on Saturday, November 1st at the South Athletic Complex.

The Saints finished their season 10-4-2, 4-2-2, while the Lakers are 8-11-1.

Oswego State got off to a fast start as Maureen Kasperek opened the scoring 2:45 into the game.

The Saints countered with the next two goals with Kate Adams tying the game off a feed from Sarah Skinner and then Skinner put St. Lawrence in front with just 53 seconds remaining in the opening half.

The Lakers battled back as Kasperek scored 3:17 into the new half, but the Saints got the goal right back as Lauren O’Connell scored her first goal of the season just 25 seconds later.

Kasperek completed the hat trick at the 64:10 mark of the game as she cashed in on an assist from Lynn Halloran.

Oswego then regained the lead less than 10 minutes later when
Ashley Anne Maltagliati put the Lakers in front 4-3. That
lead was short lived as Jen Giller knotted the game for good only 27 seconds later.

Senior keeper Alecia Scorsone finished with eight saves for
the Lakers, while Carly Draper made a pair of stops for the Saints.
