
2007-08: Karlee added depth at the center position for the Scarlet and Brown in her first season with the program. The sophomore, was a consistent figure in the team’s line-up, playing in 38 of the squad’s 39 games. Shields chipped in two assists in 2007-08, with each coming in a close game (Maine and Rensselaer).
Pre-St. Lawrence
Shields attended St. Francis Xavier High School where she captained the Edmonton hockey team for all three seasons. The Edmonton, Alberta native won the "Silver Stick Award," recognizing the most outstanding student at St. Francis Xavier. Shields was also was second in the points race in the AMMF Hockey League in 2005-06, and was named the MVP and Rookie of the Year last season at St. Thomas College. Born August 9th, 1988, she is the daughter of John and Kathy Shields.
