2007-2008: Burnham served as co-captain in his senior campaign and achieved five career best times in his last season at St. Lawrence. At the 2007 Liberty League Championships, the Wilton, CT native placed 15th in the 500 free and 16th in the mile, scoring points in each event for the Saints. His efforts were also helpful on the 400 Medley Relay, as his team placed seventh overall in the event. At the UNYSCSA Championships in February, Burnham scored points in two individual races. In the 1650, he placed 13th and in the 400 IM he placed 17th overall. He was a member of three relays that helped St. Lawrence score points, including the 800 Free Relay (eighth place), and the 200 and 400 Free Relays (11th place).

2006-2007: Burnham continued to contribute for the Saints in the distance freestyle events as a junior and scored in the Liberty League championship with a 14th place finish in the 1650. He won the 1000 in a dual meet with Skidmore and was 16th in the 1650 in the UNYSCSA Championships. He was also a member of the 800 free relay, 400 free relay and 200 free relay teams which scored at the state meet.

2005-2006: As a sophomore, Burnham made major contributions in the team's dual meets in the distance freestyle events. He bested all of his times from his rookie season, and added the 1000 Freestyle to his repertoire. His best time in that event was 11:13.24. He made his biggest improvements at the UNYSCSA Championships, where he set each of his career marks.

2004-2005: In his rookie season, posted his best finishes in the meet against Potsdam. In that meet, he finished 3rd in the 200 Free and 3rd in the 200 Back. Posted his best time in the 100 Back at RIT (1:05.85) and the 200 Back against Lemoyne (2:20.93).

Burnham competed in soccer and swimming at Wilton. He twice won the team's leadership award for men's swimming. Burnham was a member of the 2003 Connecticut State Championship team. In 2004, he placed fourth in the medley relay at the state meet.
