Expectations for Growth
of soccer within the club
Immediate goals:
Organize combination clinic/development sessions to
gauge interest and form age specific training squads.
Launch and get the word out, provide training regimen,
set schedule, provide facilities and gather interested
people for coaches clinics and development of coaches
pool.
- 50 to 100 registered players and 8 -10 coaches on
staff
SHORT RANGE - 1st to 2nd year goals:
Freeze FC growth through the recruitment of players
and families. Refinement of club activities to get excellent
word of mouth and referrals. Hosting of both NSCAA and
US Soccer coaches license courses as well as efforts
in regard to referee's education.
Soccer event leadership, vision, management and coordination
of indoor and outdoor tournaments. Provide lead expertise
and mentoring development of satellite local soccer
clubs, local leagues, school programs and regional league
including championship pyramid and schedule. Activation
of a year round training plan and competitive challenges
provided for the playing members.
- 100 to 400 registered players
LONG RANGE: Comprehensive Vision that provides future
competitive framework for youth to compete. Includes
league play covering the Lake Ontario to Lake Champlain
region with over 1,000 registered players. Exceptional
senior games, college all-star events and the construction
and placement to provide the next level of competition
for youth players of the region.
Three conferences known as West, Central and East.
A Western conference with Watertown, Canton, Malone,
Potsdam and Massena as main program hubs. Local recreational
play among members with age specific travel teams playing
limited matches between the main hubs.
A Central conference with Tupper Lake, Saranac Lake,
Lake Placid, Keene and Elizabethtown as main programs
with same local league format and limited travel program.
A Eastern conference with Plattsburgh, Peru, Chazy,
Willsboro and other Lake Champlain communities joining
in. Local organized competition already exists in Plattsburgh
but higher level competition is infrequent.
Freeze FC will have its main training headquarters
in Canton, New York but have satellite local branches
in Lake Placid, Potsdam and Saranac Lake to begin.
The founding members intend to reach out to ANY interested
existing clubs, leagues, community recreation programs,
towns and schools with coaches education program, player
clinics and in-house parent-volunteer coaching courses.
A team system 'style of play' will and curriculum will
be established and taught to every FC Freeze coach so
that the agreed style of play carries throughout the
club and provides a consistent foundation and reference
for players, coaches and supporters.
Freeze FC will provide a club 'role model' and the
stimulus for the launch of a competitive league and
opportunity to affiliate with the National Governing
Body, US Soccer and Eastern New York Soccer Association
through the Capital District Youth Soccer League.
Referee, administrative, promotional efforts will be
undertaken as well as organizational efforts at inter-conference
play, schedules, select teams, travel teams, tournament
play and formation of soccer events - 12 months a year.
