at Portsmouth High School

Palmer was a tri-sport athlete, competing in Football, Hockey and Lacrosse. He captained both the football and lacrosse squads in his junior and senior seasons, and was a First Team All-Division, Second Team All-State and a three-time All-County football player. The Portsmouth, RI native was named the Defensive MVP in his final two seasons. Palmer was nominated for the Providence Journal's Scholar Athlete Award as well.
