2007-08: Bobby Torney appeared in nine games for the Saints as a rookie and will contend for additional playing time as a sophomore. He scored his first collegiate goal in his third game, a 4-2 loss at RPI.

A hard-working player with a hard shot, Bobby Torney will contend for playing time among the Saint defenders as a rookie. He was a first-team All State player at Rice Memorial in Burlington and prepped last season at the Taft School where he had eight goals and 13 assists for the New England finalists.

Personal: The son of Bob and Sally Torney, Bobby also played soccer and lacrosse and was a member of the 2005 state championship lacrosse team at Rice. He was also an honor roll student. His father Bob played at the University of Vermont and for the Washington Capitals and his cousin Mike also played four years at Vermont and captained the team as a senior.
