2007: Malcomb continued to make his presence felt in his sophomore season, improving his career-best time by 11 seconds. The Marietta, OH native competed in five meets for the Saints, finishing with two top-15 finishes including a 10th place showing at the 2007 Liberty League Championships with a time of 27:10. Malcomb also earned Liberty League All-Academic Honors in his sophomore campaign and is a both a member and on the executive board of SLU Buddies.

2006: Jacob had a solid rookie season for the Saints and was a consistent top seven finisher for the Saints. He was 11th in the Hoffmann Invitational, 16th in the Liberty League Championships, 7th in the SLU Quad and was the third Saint finisher, 39th overall in the NYSCTC Championships.

At Marietta High School

Jacob ran cross country and track and was a four-time All Southeastern Ohio runner in cross country and earned All District honors three times. The 2005 Southeast Ohio Runner of the Year, he was a two-time All Academic All State athlete. He was 2005 cross country MVP and 2006 track captain and MVP. A member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish National Honor Society he is a St. Lawrence Sequicentennial Scholar.
