2007: Wacenske was one of the team's most reliable players in 2007, as the sophomore center started in every game. The Rochester, NY native provided sound blocking for his quarterback and opened holes in the run game for fellow classmate Connor Hackett. Wacenske is also a University Scholar and is a member of the Investment Club, the Student Safety Team and ACE.

2006: Wacenske played a back-up role at offensive line.

At Gates Chili High School

 Wacenske participated in football, bowling and track. As captain of the Varsity football team, he received First-Team All-League honors, Honorable Mention All-City, and was selected to play in the Senior All-Star game. He was also a two-sport scholar athlete in football and bowling.
