2007: Hackett became the Saints' workhorse out of the backfield, setting the University record for most touchdowns in a game with five against Merchant Marine while earning All-Conference Honorable Mention. The Bronxville, NY native was the team's leading rusher and scorer and accounted for 973 yards as a sophomore.
2006: Hackett had a solid freshman campaign for the Saints, starting all nine games at tailback. He was the Saints leading rusher with 135 carries for 398 yards and four touchdowns. He had a break-out game in the Saints season-opener against Norwich, rushing for 75 yards and a touchdown. He earned Liberty League Rookie of the Week honors for his performance.

At Bronxville High School
Hackett played football and basketball. On the football field, he captained Bronxville's Varsity team and earned All-League honors his junior and senior seasons. He received the Section I Class C Outstanding Back Award and was a Class C New York State All-State Defensive Selection. Hackett was also president of the Athletic Council.
