Getting to St. Lawrence St.
Lawrence University is located in Canton, New York which is in the upper Northeast
corner of New York State, close to the Canadian border. Travel
by Road From Albany, NY: I-87 (Northway) to Exit
23 (Warrensburg) Rt. 28 to Blue Mountain Lake; Rt. 30 to Tupper Lake; Rt. 3 West
to Rt. 56; Rt. 68 to Canton (About 3.5 hours) From Syracuse,
NY: I-81 North to Exit 48; Rt.342 to Rt. 11; North on Rt. 11 to Canton
(About 3 hours) From Utica, NY: Rt. 12 North
to Lowville; Rt. 26 North to Rt. 11 North; Rt. 11 North to Canton (About 3 hours)
From Boston: I-90 to Albany; to I-87; follow
directions from Albany. (About 6.5 hours) From Montreal,
QUE: Rts 20/401 to Cornwall, Ont.; bridge to USA; West on Rt. 37 to Massena;
South on Rt. 56 to Potsdam; South on Rt. 11 to Canton (About 2 hours) From
Ottawa, ONT: Rt. 416 South, follow signs for Bridge to USA, follow signs
to Rt. 68 East, Rt. 68 merges with Route 11 in Canton, drive about one mile from
intersection of Routes 68 and 11 to college. (About 1.5 hours) From
Burlington, VT: I89 North to Swanton, VT. Rt. 78 to Rt. 2, cross bridge
at Rouses Point, NY and take Route 11 to Canton (about 3 hours) Travel
by Air Those traveling to St. Lawrence by air have several
options. The closest major airport is in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada (about 1.5 hours
away). Please check with your travel agent as to documentation needed for
both US and Canadian Immigration services if traveling through Canada to reach
the meet. Foreign (non-US and Canadian) student-athletes will need complete documentation
(student Visa, passport, etc.) It is also important
to check with your departure airport (not just the
airlines) to be sure they can accommodate field event implements (pole vault poles,
javelins, and weight implements). Airports Ottawa,
