Campus and Facilities
St. Lawrence University comprises 1,000 acres in Canton, New York, plus property
on Upper Saranac Lake in the Adirondacks used as a conference center for campus
groups and a vacation site for alumni. Much of the property remains pristine,
exemplifying the long-held commitment to the environment.
In 1997, St. Lawrence University launched a 10-year initiative
that reflects support for excellence across the curriculum, a commitment
to the quality and increased size of the faculty, a focus on well-balanced,

Dining Services
Relatively few colleges might cite dining services as one of their
important sources of student satisfaction, but St. Lawrence does so
with pride. A selfoperated program, Dining
Services has won national
recognition for its customer orientation that is evinced by wide menu
choices, nutritional counseling, caring staff, and commitment to purchasing
locally as much as possible.
