Announcements
Faculty Council: Newly elected members to serve on Faculty Council include Peter Bailey, Maegan Bos, Patti Frazer Lock, Daniel Koon, Traci Fordham-Hernandez and Joan Larsen. Returning members include Alison Del Rossi, Nadia Marano, Laura Rediehs and Loraina Ghiraldi. There will also be a special election held in the fall to fill one open position.

New Parking Plan: A new campus-wide parking plan has been established by the University; the full plan is available on the web: http:web.stlawu.edu/security/motor.html..

Equipment Loan Program: During this past spring's review of capital requests, it became clear that the University could not fund every request for audio/visual equipment. In an effort to meet as many audio/visual needs as possible, it was decided that a pool of equipment from which faculty and staff could borrow would be established. The Equipment Loan Program will allow faculty and staff to borrow laptops, digital still cameras and digital video cameras on a short-term loan basis. The program has been established and currently includes laptops and digital still cameras. Additional still cameras and digital video cameras will be added to the loan pool. If you wish to reserve equipment or would like more information, please go to http://it.stlawu.edu/loan_program/index.htm or e-mail loaner@stlawu.edu.

Two-sided Printing: Effective this fall, all public printers will be set with double-sided printing as the default setting. Therefore, all documents sent from a public computer to a public printer will be printed back-to-back. This decision was made in consideration of both environmental and financial factors. Faculty should expect to receive student papers in back-to-back format unless otherwise specified. If single-side printing is desired, instructions will be placed above each printer with details of how to do so.
Directory Assistance Options: As of July 1, the option to call external operators for directory information was discontinued from the campus telephone system. Such calls have cost the University thousands of dollars each year and the same information can be found on a number of reliable Web sites for free. The Telecommunications Web site http://it.stlawu.edu/phone_services/telecomm.htm has links to the following resources: Domestic calls:

The University Chorus will present its fall concert, entitled A Concert of Psalms, exploring the great variety of Psalm settings through the ages, on Saturday and Sunday, November 13 and 14, in Gunnison Memorial Chapel. The group rehearses on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. in Room 15 of the Griffiths Arts Center, beginning on August 31. The Early Music Ensemble is comprised of the Early Music Players and the Early Music Singers. The Players rehearse on Mondays at 7 p.m., also in Room 15 of the Griffiths Arts Center, beginning on August 30.
