The Scarlet Letter is published weekly except during break periods
during the academic year for St. Lawrence employees by the staff of the University
communications office. Submissions, comments and questions can be addressed
to or faxed to 7422; deadline is Wednesday at 5 p.m. for the following
Monday's edition. To find The Scarlet Letter on the University's
Web site: www.stlawu.edu/scarlet/scarlet.html.
Note: This is the final Scarlet Letter of the fall semester.
Publication will resume on
January 19; the deadline for that issue is Wednesday, January 14, at 5 p.m.

Announcements
Help the Troops: The SLU Republicans are participating in the nationwide
campaign "Operation Air Conditioner," which provides necessities
and other items to troops overseas. Suggested items include toiletries, stationery,
books, magazines, disposable cameras, DVDs, games, mosquito coils, non-aerosol
bug repellent and playing cards. These can be dropped off in boxes at the
E.J. Noble University Center Desk, in Dana Dining Center and in Brewer Bookstore;
