Attention Federal Perkins Loan First-Time Borrowers: First-time borrowers of a Federal Perkins Loan for the 2004-05 academic year are required to participate in a mandatory entrance interview, Monday, February 21, at 11 a.m. in Student Center 336. You must bring your driver’s license; St. Lawrence University ID card; and names, addresses and telephone numbers of three references who must be at least 18 years of age and have known you for at least three years. Occupational Safety Notice: A copy of the St. Lawrence University Exposure Control Plan (including the Occupational Safety & Health Administration Bloodborne Pathogen Standard) can be found at http://www.stlawu.edu/resources/safetytraining.htm. Specific
St. Lawrence employees are identified in the Control Plan as in need of specific training due to the likelihood of occupational contact with blood or certain bodily fluids. Professional Semester Applications: Applications for the fall 2005 Professional Semester (student teaching) are due by March 1, 2005, and must be accompanied by an up-to-date transcript and letter of recommendation from a field supervisor. Application forms may be picked up in the education office in Atwood Hall. Seniors interested in student teaching in the fall as graduate students in the Post-Baccalaureate Certification Program must also apply. Lunch Bunch: Laurentian Women's Association Lunch Bunch meets one Wednesday per month at noon in the Eben Holden Conference Room. Lunch Bunch is open to all women faculty and staff and wives of faculty and staff, including retirees.

Achievements

Assistant Professor of Fine Arts Amy Hauber and two students in her sculpture class participated in the 2005 New York State Snow-Sculpting Championship, held in Glens Falls January 28 through 30. “Team Larry,” consisting of Hauber, Blythe Stoecklein ’05 of Pittsburgh, PA, and Ryan Conroy ’05 of Bantam, CT, created a piece called “Penny Atop A Cake,” inspired by Hauber's pug dog, Penny.
