History - Assistant Professor, Tenure Track

The History Department at St. Lawrence University seeks applicants for a tenure track Assistant professor position in the History of Islamic Civilizations exclusive of South Asia, with field open, starting in the fall semester of 2009. Must be willing to teach a range of courses from the introductory through the senior research seminar levels. Candidates who are able to offer courses on the encounter between Europe and Islam and to develop courses in global history are especially encouraged. Applicants with completed PhD preferred.
