Performance and Communication Arts
Visiting Assistant Professor of Performance, Dramatic Literature and Theatre History

The Department of Performance and Communication Arts at St. Lawrence University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position beginning in August 2012.  Preference will be given to candidates who are creative pedagogues, with college-level teaching experience, who are interested in movement and kinesthetic learning, and whose approach to the study of theatre is informed by popular performance, ritual performance, performance art, and/or media.  Courses to be taught include Introduction to Dramatic Scripts (a script analysis course), Beginning Acting, advanced courses in performance, as well as courses in dramatic literature, history, and theory.  The candidate will also participate at some point in St. Lawrence University’s First Year Program.  Proven ability to direct a college-level production a plus.  Degree requirements: Ph.D. preferred, ABD considered. 

Interested candidates should send a letter of application, a vita, three letters of recommendation, and sample syllabi for two relevant courses to Dr. Randall T. G.
