Visiting Assistant Professor of Japanese
St. Lawrence University invites applications for a one-year position as visiting assistant professor or instructor (ABD) in Japanese. Applicants should be able to teach Japanese at all levels and possess native or near-native fluency in the language with an excellent command of English. Ph.D. is preferred in Japanese literature, linguistics or foreign language pedagogy. Previous experience in teaching Japanese at the college level is highly desirable, as well as the ability to teach another of the following languages offered at St. Lawrence: French, German, Italian, Spanish or Arabic.
This appointment is scheduled to begin August, 2012.
