UNIVERSITY CHORUS SEEKING NEW MEMBERS
CANTON - The University Chorus is accepting new members for the spring semester.
In celebration of the University's Sesquicentennial, performance of a Gilbert and
Sullivan review is planned.
Throughout its history, St. Lawrence has been known as a "singing campus." Evidence of
this is the fact that The Mikado, Pirates of Penzance and H.M.S. Pinafore have all been
produced at some time during the University's history. Scenes from these classic comic
operettas will be presented, as well as Trial by Jury in its entirety in two performances
on Saturday, April 22, at 7 p.m. in the Edwards Opera House, and Sunday, April 23, at
2 p.m. in Gunnison Memorial Chapel at St. Lawrence.
Rehearsals are held on Tuesdays at 7 p.m., starting on January 24, in Room 24 of the
Griffiths Arts Center. All singers are invited to join, although men are especially
welcome. For membership information contact director Barry Torres at 315-229-5171 or
btorres@stlawu.edu.
