Paul Doty is a Public Service Librarian at St. Lawrence University. Paul has a B.A. in English from Keene State College, an M.A. in English from the University of Maine, and an M.L.S. from SUNY Albany.
Ask him a question—Paul is part of the public service staff in ODY, and provides both research consultations and library instruction for classes in a variety of disciplines. Along with reference services, Paul facilitates Interlibrary Loan services, and serves on the Friends of the Owen D Young and Launders Library Board. He has also offered a variety of courses in the SLU First Year Program over the past ten years, and the two wooden canoes in the canoe shed are student built evidence of two of these courses. Paul has published essays or poems in publications such as the Reference Librarian, the Leaflet, the FODYLL Bulletin, Mississippi Review, Stone Canoe, Cortland Review, and Rootdrinker.
