Library Instruction

Course-related research instruction is offered by librarians at the request of faculty members for courses at all levels. While the development of library skills is an integral part pf the communication component of the First Year Program, introducing students to research as well as to critical and evaluative skills, the continued development and honing of these skills is a four-year process. Course-related instruction is one way to accomplish this. For information on research instruction contact Paul Doty x5483 or Eric Williams-Bergen, Science Librarian x5405

In addition to in-class instruction, you can refer your students to the library for an individual research session with a librarian to work on a specific project. Many students benefit from one-on-one sessions that focus on their specific needs.

The Library also offers, at your request, course-specific library pages that highlight course-specific scholarly resources for your students.
