Volunteers are needed to help with routine office
procedures-answer phones, file, make copies, etc.
The Red Cross also offers interested volunteers
training in disaster relief. The application process requires
tetanus and Hepatitis A shots, a physical, the completion of
CPR and First Aid Classes (classes are offered regularly by
the Red Cross Potsdam office). After completing an application,
volunteers undergo two days of training. The successful completion
of the entire process leads to Red Cross Certification, useable
anywhere in the U.S.
