For over 30 years, The Church and Community Program
(C&CP) has provided food, clothing, school supplies, holiday
food baskets and gifts for kids, vegetable plants and seeds, and
emergency assistance to those in need. C&CP also operates a
thrift shop in the basement of the Presbyterian Church on the park
in Canton (income from the shop funds C&CP programs).
Volunteers are needed to:
· sort, inventory, bag, and distribute donated food
· help in food bank deliveries (manual labor)
· organize and collect unwanted clothing at break and semester's
end
· help in the acquiring of gifts and implementing logistics
for the "Angel Tree" program for low-income children
· service and operate the thrift shop
The C&CP is within walking distance of campus,
and transportation is not required.
