Volunteers are needed to run the Bookworm Reading Lab at
the Canton Schools for 1-6th grade aged children.
duties include:
- Signing books out and checking books in
- helping students who are having trouble taking their test on the
computer
- awarding prizes to students who have earned points
We need a minimum of a one hour commitment, but volunteers
can give more time if desired. Dependability and punctuality are a must
because a schedule of times the lab is open will be posted for all teachers
to utilize.
Volunteer groups are also needed to help with bottle/can
drives. Saving "boxtops for education" coupons on top of cereal
boxes is also necessary as the money earned allows this reading program
to order more books and tests for children.
Volunteers need their own transportation.
