History Honorary Society ~ Pi Eta Chapter


In order to be eligible for membership in the Pi Eta Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, a student must have taken at least four courses in history and obtained an average of 3.2 with 3.0 cumulative average.  It is not necessary to be a history major or minor to join Phi Alpha Theta.  Presently, dues are $40.00, to be paid at the time of application.  In the first year of your membership you will receive a certificate of membership and copies of The Historian, a quarterly publication of the Society.The Society has a meeting approximately every four weeks in the late afternoon or evening.  Last year Phi Alpha Theta members engaged in many activities including field trips, arranging speakers and presentations, and sponsoring a pre-registration informational meeting.   Questions about the honorary can be directed to the department secretary, Piskor 114.
