Welcome to the GIS Program at St. Lawrence University

The GIS Program at St. Lawrence University is one of many services offered by the University Libraries. Located on the top floor of the Launders Science Library, we provide instructional, technical and research support to the St. Lawrence University community in the use of geospatial software and technology.

Staffing Changes at the GIS Lab
Lou Zeppieri, GPS/GIS/Science Instrumentation Technician will be on leave until March 22, 2010. Please contact Carol Cady, GIS Specialist for help with GPS and GIS. Contact Tom Dildine, Systems Office, ODY Library for large format printing requests

ArcGIS License Manager Warning:

We've changed the license manager for ArcGIS.  You may get a warning about ArcGIS license expirations when you try to open ArcMap or ArcCatalog.  Change the license manager to point to our new server GIS.  Instructions on how to make the changes can be found here: T:\Atlas\Tutorials\Instructions to change License Manager for ArcGIS on Vista.pdf   You will only have to make this change once.  If you have any questions, please contact Lou or Carol

Faculty and Student Support:

The GIS staff are available Monday thru Friday 8:30 - 4:30 to instruct students and faculty in the use of GIS and GPS. Contact Carol Cady, GIS/Map Specialist or Lou Zeppieri, GPS/GIS Technician to find out how GIS can enhance your studies.

The library maintains a number of instructional manuals and workbooks on the subjects of GIS and GPS. Check Encore for holdings information.
