Capturing the life and spirit of a people through art is common across cultures and time. The mandala, or circular picture, is seen as a living device for devotion, healing, meditation, and transformation. In this section, we introduce you to a few mandala ideas outside of Tibetan Buddhism which reveal some common and unique features of circular paintings in different cultures and religions, including Christianity.
