Ohene Cornelius

odified: v.t. the experience of learning language a la Ohene Cornelius. i.e. I was odified yesterday. n. odification

Knowing the lively spark (odification) Ohene  ( Odie) has brought to campus, just imagine the energy level of his Harlem, NY, home  - what with three brothers and three sisters.  The first to go to college in his immediate family, and a  McNair Scholar,  Ohene is a Speech and Theater and English double major with a penchant for winning poetry slams. (No one slams like he does.) He’s also written for The Stump and The Laurentian.

A multi-talented student, Ohene is equally at home on the track and field ( a relative newcomer to the sport yet he qualified to compete in the nationals in the long jump), the basketball court, or in a recording studio. In fact, one of his internships in London last year was at the Stanley House Recording Studio.
SLU odified student activities include  BSU and MANNY. He has also been a HEOP Mentor and a Writing Mentor. He has been recognized with the Jeffrey Campbell Award as well as by the HEOP program
gram or his scholarship.
Selected last year as a peer mentor for the summer program for HEOP, Ohene worked with incoming HEOP students on their  math skills.  Indeed he wishes to profess in his own manner, these quaint words of wisdom: “Start now . .  .four years are up quick.”
His favorite professor is Dr. Margaret Bass, and he worked with her on his research for the McNair program.
