Text Box: Jennifer Godin is studious, fair-minded, and cheerful and one of those behind-the-scenes personalities that help make SLU the leading academic institution it is. Her many visits to the Dean’s List are matched by her willingness to work hard and persevere. She carries a quick smile and bright wit along with her backpack of books.
But don’t get the impression she isn’t actively involved at SLU. Besides her campus work, Jen is an active member of CSTEP, Alpha Phi Omega and the Habitat for Humanity.
Text Box: A Sociology combined Environmental Studies major, Jen is all about becoming a prosecutor and perhaps a judge someday. Toward that end she is currently applying to law schools and maintaining her vice chief justice position on the Student Judiciary Board.
Jen has maintained campus and off campus work and spent the past two summers doing internships. She also won the Tanner Fellowship last spring.
She interned in the Franklin County District Attorney’s Text Box: office in 2002, and she learned about area health care through an internship with Dr. Lisa Francey, a chiropractor, last spring. This past summer she spent working in the victim assistance unit of the Franklin County D.A.
Hailing from Constable,NY, Jen grew up on a dairy farm. She did not get to take advantage of abroad study, but she cautions her peers: “Make the most of it; take classes that interest you. Utilize your professors. Go abroad. I didn’t because of time constraints, but I regret it so DO IT!”
