Dr. Andrea J. Nouryeh is Associate
Professor of Speech and Theatre and current Coordinator of the African Studies
Board, of which she has been an active member since 1993.
Although her BA from the
University
of
Wisconsin,
Madison
and MA from
Columbia
University
are in English, she completed a PhD. in Performance Studies from
New York
University
in 1987 and course work for an MA in African American Studies from
Columbia
in 2003. Dr. Nouryeh has been at
St. Lawrence University since the fall of 1991 and teaches courses in script
analysis, theatre history, and dramatic literature with specific courses
focusing on African American, South African and West African playwrights.
