Merit Scholarship Information
St. Lawrence considers all applicants for academic merit scholarships. These are awarded based on overall academic performance as well as character and evidence of leadership.
St. Lawrence also awards three specifi c scholarships which are described below. Please indicate whether you would like to be considered for any of them.

Community Service Scholarship: Awarded to students who have been leaders in community service by initiating service projects, by motivating peers to become involved in service or by making community service a priority relevant to other activities in which they have been involved.

Presidential Diversity Scholarship: Awarded to students of African American, Asian American, Hispanic American or Native American heritage on the
basis of academic achievement, leadership, service to community, and a demonstrated interest in diversity issues.

Vilas Scholarship: Awarded to students interested in a career in business and who understand that a liberal arts education can be excellent preparation for business careers. Students selected as semifi nalists will be asked to submit an additional essay.
